ReplyDeleteHow would someone know that you believe in Jesus?
In this reading John saw the Lamb of God, and his disciples and him went and followed Him. Jesus decided to go to Galilee, and when he saw Nathanael He said that he was truly an Israelite with no deceit. Nathanael didn't know how Jesus knew him, but He told him how and told him some encouraging words. Someone would know that I believe in Jesus by just hanging around me for a day and realizing how much I act like no body else around.
Tues. John 2:1-25 Jesus & Surprises
ReplyDeleteIn this reading Jesus and His disciples were invited to a wedding where the wine was gone. Jesus told some servants to fill the free jugs with water, so they did. He told one to give a cup of it to the master and the master said it was wine. Jesus found people selling things around the temple, do Jesus had a temper and scattered everything. Jesus said destroy the temple and He will rebuild it in three days, but He meant His body. Jesus has surprised me multiple times by giving me an A on a test that I didn't study for because I was doing His works.
Wed. John 3:1-21 Jesus & Nicodemus
ReplyDeleteWhen did you first meet Jesus? How?
In this reading Nicodemus came to Jesus and started talking to Him about being born again. Jesus was appalled to know that Nicodemus did not know these things. Jesus told Nicodemus a whole lecture on how and why people should live for God. I really first met Jesus when my step-dad took my mom, my sister, and I to our first Christian church from a Catholic one. I just felt really into the service, and got born again then and there.
Thurs. Matthew 17:24-18:6 Who’s the Greatest?
ReplyDeleteDoes Jesus’ teaching about who is the greatest surprise you? Why?
In this reading the tax collector asked if Jesus pays the temple taxes. Peter was doubtful, but Jesus told Peter to cast a fishing line and catch a fish with His tax in its mouth. Jesus told His disciples that children are the greatest in the kingdom in heaven because of their faith. Yes, because no one expects little children to do anything of value in the world until they are all grown up. This makes people think the opposite of just that.
Fri. Mark 10:17-31 Jesus & the Rich Man
ReplyDeleteWhat’s the hardest thing Jesus could ask you to give up?
In this reading Jesus told a man to sell everything, give it to the poor, and follow Him. Jesus said that it is harder for a rich man to get into heaven. He then said that all things are possible with God, and then He said more things to give up for the great cause. The hardest thing to give up for Jesus is my immediate family because I can always trust in them for everything. Then again, I will give up anything for Christ in order to live with Him in heaven.
