In this reading the eleven apostles listened to Jesus by going to the mountain where he wanted them to go. Some doubted, but others worshiped Him. Jesus told them to go make nations into disciples and teach them obedience. I am going to obey Jesus by reading His word like He says to in the Bible.

  2. Tues. John 13:1-20 Washes His Disciples’ Feet
What’s the best thing someone has done for you?
    How do you serve others?

In this reading Jesus wrapped a towel around His waist, washing His disciples' feet and drying them with the towel. Jesus explained the act that He was doing to Peter, and Peter wanted more. He then told everyone why He was doing this. Jesus told His disciples that one of them was going to betray Him. The best thing someone has done for me is let me do something as if I was in authority. My Sunday School teacher actually put me in charge for a while to practice being in charge. I serve others by helping smaller people do their homework and I tutor a nine-year old.

  3. Wed. Matthew 21:28-46 Two Parables
Which son do you resemble the most?

In this reading Jesus gives parable of two sons in comparison with modern people. Jesus gave another parable about a landowner who tried to get His crops, but the renters (tenants) killed the man's servants. The chief priests and the Pharisees wanted to find a way to arrest Jesus, but they were afraid of the crowd who called Him a prophet. I resemble the son who knows he doesn't want to do it at all, but he knows that it has to be done by somebody, so he might as well help out.

In this reading Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him three times and Peter said yes three times. Then Jesus told Peter to feed his lambs and take care of His sheep. Jesus told Peter to follow Him, and also said that another disciple will not die. If I replaced Peter's name with mine then I will be the one getting tested. I would have to answer to God the true answer.

  5. Fri. Matthew 28:8-15 Reactions to Resurrection
What would your first words to Jesus be if he appeared to you today?

In this reading a woman had just seen the empty tomb of Jesus and went to the disciples. When Jesus appeared there, He told them to tell his brothers to come and see Him in Galilee. The chief priests gave soldiers a large amount of money to lie about the resurrection. If Jesus appeared to me the first words out of my mouth would be, "I love you savior please forgive me from my sins and be forever with me..."
