  1. Mon. Acts 1:1-11 The Departure of Jesus
What one thing would you be sure to do if you knew Jesus were coming back today?

In this reading Jesus told His apostles while eating with them after the resurrection to stay in Jerusalem. They asked Him if He was going to restore the kingdom into Israel, but Jesus told them that they did not need to know when. The apostles then witnessed the ascension of Christ into heaven. I would make sure to repent for my sins so I would surely get to heaven. Then I would make sure as many people as possible would become saved to forever live with Christ.

  2. Tues. Acts 20:1-12 Sleeping in Church

In this reading Paul sent out for Macedonia, then Greece, and then Syria. Instead of going to Syria, he went back to Macedonia, but went to Troas for seven days with others. While breaking bread a man fell sound asleep and was picked up dead, but Paul said he was alive and he was brought home alive. God responds to our human weaknesses by encouraging us to be stronger. He either tels us Himself, or He will talk to us through other people.

  3. Wed. Acts 21:1-17 Difficult Decisions
What hard decisions do you have to make right now?

In this reading they were traveling to many places, but the Spirit urged Paul not to go to Jerusalem. They traveled some more and ended up in Caesarea where Agabus took Paul's belt and tied his hands and feet. He said that the owner of the belt will be handed over to the Gentiles by the Jews. I have to make the decision to either listen to my parents or follow peer pressure with my friends.

The Bible tells us that suffering bring perseverance and that hope does not put us to shame. That Christ died for the ungodly which God demonstrates His own love for us with. Even when we were sinners against God, He sent His son to die for us. I thank God almost everyday for what He has given to me and what He has done for me. I don't always live up to the challenges, but I am working on them.

In this reading the Bible tells us that we all know he consequences for sinning in this world. We also all know the reward for repenting for our sins, and the help the Holy Spirit can give us. If God can give up His son for us, then why shouldn't we praise Him and thank Him all the time for that? Nothing in this world can separate the true believers form God's love and power within us. I feel like my unsaved family can draw me farther from Christ, but they really can't because no matter what I will love Jesus. I need my whole family and everyone else to know that for their whole lives.
