Wed. 2 Kings 2: 1-12 Elijah’s Chariot
How far will you go to carry out a commitment that you make?
In this reading Elijah told Elisha to stay where he was for the Lord had sent him to Benthel, but Elisha went with him. Elijah told him to stay where he was because the Lord has sent him to Jericho, but Elisha went with him as the same thing happened when the Lord sent him to Jordan. On their walk a chariot with horses came down and took Elijah to heaven while Elisha tore his cloak in two.
